Meet Recap

Holland golfers had highs and lows today. For 4 or the 6 players this was their first 18 hole round of golf. We were able to grab some pars and bogeys, but a few holes for the golfers got the best of us. The team was excited for Junior, Anna Bosman’s score of 92. This placed her 10th overall. As a team we will continue to strive for our goals of confidence and consistency in competitive situations. Proud of the learning that took place for each of them today.

Game Recap

Holland played a fast, physical East Kentwood team and played well. Unfortunately, the Holland team got tired and worn down under Kentwood’s relentless pressure and fell to the Falcons 0-5. “I was proud of the way my team responded to a bad loss on Tuesday. We played with speed and possession, but we could not sustain that intensity in the second half. East Kentwood is an excellent team and they are very well coached. We learned from this and we took a step in the right direction tonight,” said Holland Coach Greg Ceithaml. Holland is now 2-3.

Meet Recap

We had our first meet tonight against West Ottawa, and opened with some positive swims. We had great swims out of junior Emily Nightingale (50 free, 100 breast), senior Clara Steeby (100 free, 100 Back), freshman Evelyn Vandevelde (200 IM and 100 breast) and senior Claire Cebelak (200 Free). Claire got out teams first state cut in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:25.17. With our encouraging swims comes a lot of lessons learned. We are looking forward to getting back to practice to get better.
